da goods are here

i once read somewhere that we humans have 'natural highs'. this awesome feeling arises from pleasant events that happen. for most people, these events are: hearing your favourite song on the radio, seeing someone u fancy (most people feel this natural high, some might even 'tiok tian' :D ), getting a letter from a friend (ok, maybe an email nowadays) or even scoring a fantabulous goal. well, i felt this natural high today when i saw and opened the package that arrived!

yes boys... the boots are here! collect them from me! .. pretty good stuff (made in italy sial)

in case u were wondering, yes, they are the ones worn by the players u see on tv. rooney wore the black ones when he scored THAT volley against newcastle last season... personally, i dun like boots with synthetic uppers.. but this is really a good deal so jus decided to give it a try... les jus tried it out n he gave them a thumbs up~ so there u have it, an endorsement from the player flying /S's flag high in the land of the kangaroos...

Thanks Les for helping us get the boots ^^

fresh from the oven

weapons of mass destruction?

this pic adds me to the list of bloggers who rave about stuff they jus bought..(read along the lines of 'bimbo who loves to shop') 'like, you know, i couldn't help myself so i, like, decided to buy them...so pretttyyyyyyyy riteeee'

OH MY GDNESSS AOZHI'S FEET ARE SIZE 13!!!

/S Crashes to Heaviest Ever Defeat T_T

It sucks when your virgin match report happens to be a loss. It fucking sucks when it happens to be the biggest one ever suffered by your team...

But since I promised Captain Yuda this morning, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do, because a man is a pen, and a pen is a man, and I, am a man, with many many pen... (Please don't sack me as blog contributor)

I'm gonna like, sound damn serious, going with the style of the reports of a team not a million miles away...

*ahEm*

******

With first choice(T_T) custodian, Kerk, out for the rest of the season, it took our captain courageous to convince former All Stars captain, Goh Junyi to come out of his self-imposed retirement to don the /S jersey again! Captain Courageous was to watch from the sidelines himself, with an ankle injury preventing him from playing.

/S started the game brightly, but soon found themselves pinned back by Woodbridge's crisp passing and quick one twos, with their wingers giving our fullbacks a torrid time. Kingyau came close twice, but was denied once by the keeper, and the other by a last ditch sliding tackle from the opponent player.

A cross from the right left keeper Junyi clasping thin air as the Woodbridge's version of Peter Crouch nodded the ball into the empty net. The 1.9m (I think, his taller than me, and I'm 1.82) bitch was owning in the air, and before long, it was 2-0, with a goal scored in a similar manner.

By now, Woodbridge was everywhere, and /S were reduced to chasing shadows.

But /S never gives up, and responded with the best football so far in the game, with Trung forcing a superb save the keeper with a fine effort from outside the penalty box.

Sadly, it was Woodbridge that was to score again. Read above for the next two goals. Cross may vary from either left or right, but generally it's the same. So /S went into half-time down 0-4. T_T

The second half saw Kingyau score an early goal to bring a glimmer of hope to the team. A long throw by Francis went over the heads of everyone and dropped to Kingyau, who had stolen in behind his marker, and he dutifully put the ball into the net. 1-4!

Eventually, Team /S saw itself outplayed in every part of the pitch, and our last lingering hopes were quickly killed off when a cross from the left was headed onto the post by Woodbridge Crouch and the 1.9m striker dwarfed Haoyi to head the rebound back into the net.

Foong had the chance to pull one back for /S when he raced clear to a through ball from Desmond but he could only scuff his bloody shot. T_T

Woodbridge then added another in the closing moments when some random player slid in to connect with a low cross (finally! Something different) to put the ball beyond a helpless Junyi into the net, after which the final whistle came.

Stand-in team captain Kingyau summed it up best during the post-match dinner when he said, “we played better today than the previous game against them, and we had our chances but we didn't take ours but they took theirs. We didn't deserve to get anything out of the game, but we also didn't deserve to lose 6-1 either”

Phew, I think it's kinda long, but fuck it, I know you people have a lot of time on your hands anyway. ^^

for you smeagol...

hello hiadis
as we all know, kerk has become sick n tired of his plain old boring cast. who else to spice up his cast but us? there have been plenty of suggestions and, after much thought and consideration.... here are some designs for kerk's cast, specially brought to you by Zhng My Cast:

1. The SNAG - kerk can get kinda emo and he's quite a sensitive new age guy... that's why i suggest the PINK polka dot design. how metrosexual! sure to be a hit with da girls -envy-

2. Stripes - some like zebras, some like beetlejuice, while others think Alcatraz prisoners are cool. I feel that kerk likes the stripe design found on Japanese/Taiwanese girls' high socks most. -kawaii-

3. Barenaked - ah, it sure feels good to see those hairy legs again. specially imported from Middle Earth.

4. The Thierry Henry - featuring the world's lightest cast at 88mg n Arsenal FC socks, this will make kerk the fastest once again. 'wo pao de zui kuai!'

5. The PCK - probably the best design in s'pore, jb n some say batam. u can also be superman, batman or any other superhero depending on the colours u decide to choose.

6. footballfeva - featuring the boots Becks wore at the 98 world cup and the socks Ian Wright wore during his arsenal days. carry a piece of football history wherever u go!

7. Blanka - -primal scream-this has to be one of our most exotic designs ever. specially imported from brazil, u can electrocute your enemies and do a mid-air somersault with this on. Caution: frequent short circuits; avoid broom-headed personnel at all cost.

8. Li Eh Brudder Kio Li Hiadi/ZaoZaoZao - this is where sports meets fashion. a dragon design inspired by foong da ge and the new nike air max 360 sole integrated into the cast. scare away ah bengs or run away if necessary. security and comfort guaranteed. Note: need to pay protection fee.

9. Hot Wheels - who needs a car when u've got these wheels? travel at speeds of up to 150km/hr and includes hydraulics which grooves to da music u play. (hydraulics supplied by jx, music by DJ Flyz)

10. The Whole Story - sick and tired of people asking u what happened exactly? this cast features a broken bone design and can emit the sound 'piak' when people stare at your cast. Self explanatory, they say. Note: might go into spasms

it's not too late! send in ur designs by saturday!!!

seeya guys on saturday man... we all love u kerk ;)

Team /S edge out Table Toppers Real Madraz!!

Team /S 2 (Francis, ky) Real Madraz 1

Undoubtedly the strongest defence line-up Team /S has ever fielded. A back four made up of Han Wei, Hao Yi, John and Li Wei with ky filling the left back position in the 2nd half.

It was a debut for replacement keeper Roy and a jittery one. Team /S having most of the chances in the 1st half failed to convert and Team /S were lucky not to concede from some poor judgements from Roy. The highlight of the half was probably a "fierce" retaliation from John who, after having suffered some unfair shielding from the opponent, raised his arm and SLAPPED the opposition on the arm! There was some minor commotion as a result and John escaped with a yellow card. It was a stalemate in the 1st Half. 0-0.

In the 2nd Half, with ky at left-back, just when we thought this could very well be our first clean sheet, a freekick deflected into the path of a Real Madraz player who beat the defence in the box and slotted the ball into the goal in a one-on-one situation. 0-1.

Maybe this familiar situation made Team /S feel more comfortable as Team /S immediately turned up the tempo and looked extremely venomous all of a sudden. The equaliser came when ky having gone back and forth on the left of the penalty box sucked most of the defence towards him and puts a cross to Francis who had all the time in the world to shoot. Their helpless keeper could only help the ball into the goal. 1-1!

Team /S experienced some nervous moments and depended on last ditch tackles to maintain the scoreline on a few occasions. Very much like how Charlton defended against Liverpool omg..offside = no thx -.- and back to the match report... Team /S had some very good chances to take the game as well as we outnumbered the Madraz defence on several occasions only to fail the make the final pass or shot count.

As the clock's running out, the team still steaming with energy was Team /S as Real Madraz looked more and more lethargic. In the final minutes of the game, ky took the ball from midfield and burst down the centre of the park, thought about a pass to Francis but changed his mind, which faked the entire defence leaving himself with a one-on-one situation. GOAL! 2-1!! FULL-TIME!!!

Team /S' further extends their 3rd consecutive undefeated game in 2006!

And we have a song dedication from Team /S' mini-cocktail aka la mama ^^
The song is by Barenaked Ladies - Alcohol.

And i think this win is supposed to be dedicated to our dear smeagolz or sumthin LoLx!
GET WELL SOON SMEAGOLZ!!
