Team /S Crashes in Opening Game~

Team /S 1 (Vu) Punggol Riverdale 4

Team /S' 1st League game as well as our dear Junxiang's Testimonial game turned out to be a bit too much to handle. With the absence of star korean defender Hanwei, our defence was found wanting.

Our regular keeper Kerk injured his finger during some house activities and therefore he was placed in left-back while waiting for Abiel to arrive. A mistake from Punggol Riverdale almost gave Team /S the lead but only for our Golden Boot ky to put it just over the crossbar. Another great opportunity for Team /S came when Vu found Kenny with a cross but failed to time his finish, running the ball wide of the goal. The first goal came from an excellent cross from the left flank which the striker met perfectly with his head to make it 1-0. The second goal came when our centre back Travers found himself in No-Man's Land miscueing two good chances to clear the danger and that proved costly. Their striker, like a fox in the box snatched the opportunity to make it 2-0. Half-Time!

In the 2nd Half, Team /S continued to be out-muscled and were almost completely dominated in the air. Signs of frustrations were showing as rash tackles started to come in. Vu and Abiel earned themselves a yellow card each in the process due to rebutting the ref and a rash tackle respectively. Team /S got themselves a lifeline when Vu made an excellently placed freekick round the wall and into the bottom right of the goal! 2-1! However, the lifeline was shortlived. A lapse of concentration gave the opposition yet another goal. 3-1. Our Testimonial Man who was having troubles with his toe had to make his way off the pitch.

Travers then made his way off the pitch abruptly as well and Junyi came in. The abrupt departure saw ky drop back as centre back and a 4th goal was conceded. Their striker was seriously wicked sick...4-1. Our latecomer, Abiel, who already received a yellow card earlier committed a two footed sliding tackle on their wicked striker who was really unhappy with the challenge and shoved Abiel's head away created a big Hoo Ha. Abiel got a direct sending off as well as their striker. And the game ended 4-1.

Very strong league opponents indeed. If every team plays like that we would have our time better spent at Europa -.-

Navin (Law Student): If we win the rest of the 23 games we can still win the league, anyway UMBRO stuff ain't that great...

Foong (Faculty of Design & Environment): Everton lost their opening game 4-1 last season and still qualified for Champions' League.

The great /S dream

It was another ordinary night out and a few drinks in Europa that led to the Great /S dream being conceived. 'why u bring chai?' 'wah lau.. not enough seats lah' 'too many chai la' 'u ass..u had to spoil our outing!' 'when was the last time we had an all guys outing?' 'next time who bring chai will be BANNED'

No, that did NOT actually happen, yet. That was only us talking about the /S dream. To sum it up, the /S dream involved too many girls, too little bonding time between the guys and too little all-guy Europa outings. YEAH RIGHT. I mean, dreams are dreams right? You've gotta aim high.. aim for the moon~~ if you miss, you'll land among the stars....
However, there were doubters! yuda n seah had absolutely no faith in the realisation of our dream and they even put their willies on the line! The great /S dream had suddenly evovled into the great /S BET : if the dream comes true, yuda n seah will be tied together via their family jewels.. 'don't talk kok lah..how can that be possible?' you might ask.All i can say is DO NOT underestimate the POWER of our resident street fighter cum tequila man cum tauren chieftain.*az rubs his hands in glee..neh heh heh*

Moving on, school has finally started for most of us and that can only mean more girls.NOT.You guys might be thinking that I'm trying to be tricksy but the statistics prove it(literally).My statistics class had a grand total of 1 female and that was the prof.. HOHOHO stop laughing dennis.I couldn't help feeling like as if i was back in sec sch(yay!) or the ARMY(!!) for that matter.On the bright side, the lesson went thru very smoothly and the prof was very clear in her teaching.(i'm not trying to console myself T_T) Anyways, before I turn this into my blog, i shall come up with some advertising for the /S yandao kias. The moment we've all been waiting for...

Team /S Extends their Winning Streak!

Team /S 4 (Navin, Yuda, Navin, Vu) Team Red 0

Smu Freshies couldn't make it for this match. And alotta guys couldn't make it too. In the end, we needed to borrow players T_T. Team /S only started with 7 players and borrowed 2 players to make it 9 until dear jx and vu came.

The first goal came when yuda picked up the ball in the penalty area and lobbed it to an unmarked navin who scored a simple tap-in! 1-0! With a few struggles in defence, we managed to keep the ball out of the net till half time.

2nd Half, Team /S took advantage of their speed and broke their offside trap on many occasions. Navin put in a beautiful through ball from the right to find yuda who put the ball past the keeper in an one-on-one. 2-0! Another through ball from Vu, this time from the left found Navin who broke the offside trap once again to score his 2nd goal. 3-0! Team /S beginning to smell yet another clean sheet. But the goals just kept coming! A lobbing through ball from Travers found Vu who chipped the bouncing ball over the keeper into the net! 4-0! And that's the final score!!

Who would've thought such a fucked up game could turn out to be one of the best!

Team /S Almost Gave The Game Away!

Team /S 3 (Foong, Yoon x2) Team Oldman 1

The inclusion of Kong and Abiel has really strengthened our squad. Yet another extremely strong squad. As always, Team /S dominated the game with plenty of chances but failed to convert. It had to take a blunder from the opposition's defender for Foong to steal the chance and the keeper almost kept it out of goal but only managed to parry the shot in. No warcry from Foong this time! 1-0! And it remained 1-0 at Half-Time.

SAF Keeper Socks came in for Kerk in the 2nd Half and we thought we could see yet another clean sheet coming. But little did we know, a misjudgement from Socks from a corner saw a lobbing header land at the back of our net. 1-1 and already about 80min into the game. Is it going to be yet another Tanglin Sec horror. Thankfully it wasn't going to happen. Yoon, who left his scoring boots at home managed to steal a goal in a penalty box mix up. 2-1! That wasn't the end. Kerk, who came in as a striker, broke down the left wing to put a low cross which somehow managed to find its way pass their defenders to find a totally unmarked Yoon. 3-1! A deserving Victory indeed!!
