The Worst Opponents Ever?

Team /S 4 -2 Team Ruffians

When Team /S made their way to Tanglin field 4 this afternoon, everything seemed like it was set to be a typical Sunday game (not enough players, last minute imports, Ky late, etc). Instead, what we got instead were the most bad-mannered opponents ever.

Team Ruffians drew first blood when a cross from the right was misjudged by Kerk and ended up in the back of the net. 0-1! Now that Team /S are behind, the game can finally begin (its becoming a really bad habit ain't it).

Anyways, Team /S soon got their act together but a series of through balls drew no significant rewards as they were either hit too deep or the strikers had strayed offside. But no breakthrough remains elusive for long with Team /S as a corner from Yuda from the left was headed in by Abiel. 1-1!

Unfortunately, it was the ruffians that scored were to score again when a cross from the right was not picked up by Kerk and put into the net by one of their ruffians.

Team Ruffians began to show their true colours in the second half, resorting to dirty tricks, late tackles and even an intentional elbow on Yuda to stop his run. Part of the game, they say, and Team /S laboured on.

But what are the chances of these delinquents who're probably junkies as well doing well against the superior fitness of Team /S? A long ball from the midfield was misjudged by their keeper who probably failed Maths in primary school and never studied physics (and maybe secondary school) to land at the feet of import Sebastian who put the ball into the empty net. 2-2!

Then, with the potential junkies tiring out, a sweet through ball from I can't remember who sent Sebastian through and he scored again to make it 3-2. Then, Chengwei dribbled through some ruffians to shoot from the left to make it 4-2!

Kerk had to remain alert to tip a shot over the crossbar, and with the no.1 delinquent missing a penalty, it looked to be game set. But Ruffians never give up. Deciding that they couldn't beat us at football, they decided to try rugby instead.

That's when a tussle between Abiel and short Ruffian occured. A short confrontation den ensured, and out of the blue, no.1 Ruffian came from behind to punch Abiel. It didn't even have anything to do with him. Bastard. And not to mention lowdown to take someone from the back. Scum. The match was them abandoned.

The next hour was spent with the civil service and the police. Here's hoping that justice prevails and no.1 Ruffian will be sent to jail where he belongs.
